New Member Introductions! was created by mlotziii

Welcome to ar10t.com!

My name is Martin and I created this site back in 2003 when I first purchased my AR-10T. Since then I have had nothing but great experiences with my rifle. From great shooting to a excellent hunting rifle. My AR-10 is by far my favorite rifle.

My hopes for this site is to provide a one-stop resource for those looking for info on the AR-10, looking to upgrade and AR-10, or questions that fellow AR-10 owners can help each other with.

Thanks for visiting! I hope that you will participate and become active on our forums.

Very truly yours,

Thnks for creating this site Martin! It definitely has potential to be the premiere AR-10 site on the web. That is if the members that already own this rifle platform would take the time to share their experiences and knowledge about their particular AR-10 model.

And on that note, I strongly encourage all new and older members alike to take a little time and post a perfomance review on their rifle. It doesn't have to be indepth or lengthy necessarily, but the straight scoop for us staightshooters is expected of course.

Hello all, I am brand new to the AR platform. I recently purchased a Remington R-25 chambered in .308. I mounted a EOTech 552.XR308 holographic sight along with A.R.M.S. BUIS on it. My Specter 3-point CQB sling is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I haven't shot this gun enough to give a full review, but I love the gun so far.

I chose the 308 vs. the 5.56mm because of the power and distance offered by the 308. I am looking forward to making good use of this forum. I hope that you guys' experience with 308 ARs will boost my learning curve. (My experience is mostly in handguns.)

Hello out there. I just bought a DPMS LR 308 this weekend and have not had time to shoot it yet, but will today. I put a Sightmark 4-16x44 tactical scope on it and am ready to sight it in. I also have a Sig 556 and AK 47 and love them both. If there is anybody in the North Texas area let me know, We have a range on our ranch.

I found your sight while researching for the best gunt to buy. Trying to decide between the Arma lite 10t and the super sass in 308. Anyone know if there is any difference in accuracy between the two? Do the extras on the sass make it worth going with it over the 10t?
Then I need to know the best variable scope for the price. I want to be able to go from close quarters to 600meters. Thoughts appreciated

Thanks. Boy, I am having a hard time finding either an AR10t or a super sass in my area( southern Illinois).Even Inquired about the new Remington r25 and the answer is the same... all sold out in the .308. Ar 15's available, but no ar10's. I did see a couple on Guns america online. I may have to go that route if I can find someone with an FFL that will let me ship it to them. I gues like me, many think they better buy them while they still can.

I inquired about an AR10 SASS earlier this year, and was told it was a 6-month lead time. Online auctions may be an option but I definately prefer to chance to inspect, and possibly have customer service with such an expensive complex item.

I was lucky to get a good deal on a high quality upper on Armalite's "Weekly Web Specials" page.

There is definately a push on for people to purchase what rifles they care to. Many are concerned how the election will go, and certain that Obama will, if not in his first term, eventually push to renew the AWB. There is some discussion if he would play things safe his first term, in hopes that after reelection he can push some of his less popular initiatives through. And who knows, maybe we'll get a McCain suprise, but no one I know is chancing it.
