Know Your Weapon’s Trajectory
Use the reticle for range compensation and more accurate shooting.

If you ever have to shoot beyond the point blank range of your weapon, it helps to know two things: how far the target is, and how to sight on it to score a hit. Some scopes make it easy by providing a reticle for measuring range on objects of known height or width and for holding over to compensate for bullet drop. Unfortunately, pre-calculated reticles are only close for the one combination barrel length/muzzle velocity, bullet weight, and height over bore, such as 3150fps, 62gr, 2.5 inches. Putting the same scope on a 20″ rifles firing 3300fps 55gr bullets gets rather different points of impact at range.

I have watched these old Military training films a couple of times now.
This is the "Part 2" of the series.

Part one is in there too.
I think it is part two that deals with trajectory and aiming points with the M1 Rifle. Some might good stuff in there.
It wo`nt be too much different for the .308 rifle, until the real long ranges comes into play.
Might even be able to find training films for the M1A rifles too, these would be the same point of impact as the AR10.
Eo-Techs system looks to be quite impressive too.
Things is moving fast now.

It is basic stuff but still good to review and link it to a device...
