Site News

Your support of AR10T.com through active use of the site and through your contributions to the forum are very much appreciated. Many of the features of the site have come with development costs and the most recent upgrades seem to be even more expensive. I hope that each time you visit the site you find valuable information and appreciate the community of like-minded AR-10 shooters.

I've added a Support AR10T.com menu item to the top menu that links to a page of affiliates to AR10T.com. This relationship is set up so that any traffic to the online retailer from AR10T.com results in a commission that is paid to the site. You will likely be surprised to see so many retailers that you currently purchase from. If you plan on making any purchases from online retailers for your shooting gear please check out the many affiliates and consider utilizing these links when making your purchases. From time to time there will also be special discounts that are not available through other means. I'm in the process now of setting up an opt-in email list specifically for special deals related to firearms.

A few of our affiliates are:

Shop Sinclair International U.S.Cavalry Bass Pro Shops

Thank you for helping to make this site so much more than I ever hoped it would be. I now dream of only how much more resourceful it can become and how many more we can recruit to the ranks of AR-10 owners.

AR10T.com now has a link directory feature for members of the site to post links related to their business or other shooting and firearms related sites.

As a strategic improvement for the site, this feature is intended to ultimately help support the site financially as well as by creating ways for the site to give back to the members through contests.

At this time all links are at no cost. There are several options for improved listings that include icons or images.

I joined this site a few months ago, after finding it while doing some research on Mark Westrom of ArmaLite, and now have made it my On-line home. Thanks Martin.................. Cool

When I first logged on, I got to reading about my rifle and the others that owned an ArmaLite AR-10 and those here that own other .308 AR-style rifles and found it to be a wealth of information and experience.

AR10T.com in 2003

Back in 2003, AR10T.com started as a fan page for the Armalite AR-10(T). I had on order an AR-10(T) and spent a lot of time searching the web for information about the rifle and available accessories. At that time there was very little information surrounding the rifle so I thought it would be a service to others like me if there was a site dedicated just to the AR-10.

The initial site consisted of 6 pages dedicated to the specs of the rifle, the upgrades, photos, and links to a few other sites. There were about 15 visitors per month to the site back then. I received several interesting emails in those days from security contractors and even the Department of Justice. It seems that there were many others out there similarly searching for AR-10 info.

In November 2007, the site undertook a major upgrade when it went live with a content management system that enabled easy page creation and was driven by a database instead of manually edited pages. The color scheme was the same dark green and black as the original. Within a few weeks other features such as the photo gallery, forum and chat were added. The site immediately started to grow and started experiencing over 100 visitors per day.

In spring 2009, another evolution took place for AR10T.com as the site upgrades to a new sleeker layout, calmer color scheme, and new features! This is the site as you see it today.

Three years later in 2012 the site underwent a complete rebuild from the ground up.  Eliminating bugs and now allowing for the site to run faster and with fewer glitches.

2013 will mark the 10th Anniversary of AR10T.com
