Mixing upper and lower manufacturers was created by Redfacemonkey

So I purchased a PSA 308 lower assembly 4 months ago and have been waiting for PSA to have upper assembly back in stock. I have grown tired of waiting. My question is will I have any issues if I go with another manufacturer for the upper. Any ideas you may have will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know firsthand but everything I've read says PSA is a proprietary system. Those that have tried to mix parts have had nothing but problems. I'd suggest you wait and save yourself money and a hassle.

That's what I thought too. Maybe I'll buy the stripped upper and build from there. Appreciate the response

If you build pay special attention to the gas tube length. I've seen several people have issues with the gas tube being a bit short causing cycling issues, best bet is try and get the parts from PSA.

Can I use a AR-15 gas tube or must I get an AR-10 tube from Aero only?

Should be fine with the AR15, AR-10/LR308 has two different rifle length sizes and various others depending on the gas system length. Either way check with the barrel manufacturer to be sure as they determine length.
