Do you cover your rails with anything? was created by Sharkey

I picked up some rubber rail covers (Amazon and wicked cheap) for my forend that are just awesome. They feel great on the rails when I grip them and don't add much to the weight. I put some on my Benelli as well and am really digging these things.

Do you guys cover your rails and if so, what are you using?

I just got some rail covers from Magpul. I really like them.

I use ladder covers on upper rails and full size covers on the sides and bottom. I found out the expensive way that uncovered rails get damaged, particularly on the bottom when using rocks for a rest. There are some realty neat covers out there, but I consider covers to be a sacrificial part and keep it cheap.

I have a Troy FFR on my Stag 15 and on that I put Troy's Squib Grips. They are really comfortable bare handed and so far they have held up pretty well. They are a bit expensive (like most Troy stuff) but I haven't found anything like them that work as well. They aren't really a rail cover but they do protect the front rail.
