It's not surprising -- alarming, maybe, but not surprising -- that almost no attention is being paid to a report that Mr. Obama is working on imposing gun control measures on Americans "under the radar" -- according to gun control advocate Sarah Brady. That would really be something: toying with the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms without so much as a how-do-you-do to the legislative branch of the government.

The Obama administration, after keeping gun control on the back burner for over two years, is prompting concern among gun rights groups that it's slowly starting to squeeze the trigger on tighter regulation.

It would be easier for Wisconsin homeowners to protect themselves from intruders, under a new bill in the state Legislature. Freshman Senate Republican Van Wangaard of Racine is sponsoring a measure in which homeowners would no longer have to prove their lives were threatened if they kill intruders in self-defense. Also, injured intruders would lose their right to sue the homeowners -- and the families of those killed while committing burglaries could no longer win damages in court.

Days after the Delhi Hgh Court ruled that shooters could no longer use air guns, air pistols and air rifles for target practice without acquiring a proper firearms license, Beijing Olympic gold-medallist in 10m air rifle, Abhinav Bindra, said the judgment could kill the sport in the country. "What about the kids who aspire to be top-notch shooters some day? When I started shooting as a 12-year-old, I could go to a toy shop and pick up an air gun. Please don't tell me you need to have a license to get one now," said Bindra.

The Nevada Senate approved a bill Saturday that would allow anyone who has a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun on the state's university and college campuses. Current law requires the institution's president to approve people who are licensed to carry concealed weapons to do so on campus. SB 231 would eliminate the permission requirement.
