I've used a number of different brand barrels in my Armalite builds and overhauls. The major difference is in the gas port placement reference the rear of the barrel extension -- it's a simple quarter of an inch.
I have built a number of "A" type rifles (those that use the SR-25 / DPMS magazine) and found a few favorites. I apologize in advance because I do not own an A-series Armalite yet to speak from first-person experience.
If you can find Israeli-made E-Landers they are black finished-polished stainless steel and duplicate Knight SR-25 factory magazines. They are minimum-dimension size to fit otherwise tight magazine wells (like my LMT).
I only own one plastic MagPul magazine because I wanted to know if it would fit a tight LMT. It does but does not drop free.
Optics Planet carries Gen2 and Gen6 Israeli Military industry SR-25 magazines that will accommodate military-length M118LR cartridges at 2.830". You can get them blocked for 3, 5, or 10-rounds for states with round limits for deer season.
I also have Dura-Mags that work well in a Matrix and Diamondback DB-10. They a tight fit and do not drop-free in my LMT.

I love Armalites and I tailor them for what I want them to do. Carrying a lot and shooting little (but when I do I need it to hit where I'm aiming) to deliberate 1,000-yard competition, not giving away points are separate requirement sets.
I have Geneseo Armalites but no Arizona or Texas rifles (yet).
Here are some builds I've had over the years.
Howdy!
I am an old man and retired soldier. I have been blessed by God and the United States Army to develop better ways to break things and kill the enemies of our nation.
I love the Armalite AR-10T platform.
As an American man with tools and a calculating mind I tinker with rifles to squeeze out best performance -- measured in competition against worthy opponents at the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio, and dirty places around the world.
Hopefully I can help others get the most out of their hardware and software.

bought factory new years ago. The serial number is AT0005xx. It has the factory stainless steel barrel with 1:10 twist and less than 100 Federal 168 grain GMM through it. It easily shoots 1/2” moa, at 100, with me behind the trigger, golf balls at 200, eggs at 300, and 3” AR500 plates at 400. That’s the longest I have shot it.
I love this gun and have looked for a second one for years with no luck. I heard there were very few made. Does anyone know how many were actually made? Where to find another one in like new condition? Or, the value of the one I have? Thanks for any information.
Fast forward to 2025!

It's not back to the glory that it once was but with some time and a little activity maybe it'll see some bright days ahead.
There's been a few new members over the past month or two so don't be shy and say hello and let's see if any familiar faces stop by and say 'hi' .

I spent some time this week and got the email functionality working again. These days if you do not pay for a third-party email service you have little to no chance of getting emails to go through.
If you're reading this you probably received an email!

I just checked off a major bucket list item, and I wanted to share the experience with all of you. I recently had the chance to participate in a long-range match, something I've always wanted to do. The highlight? I went 2/2 on the steel bear target at 1000 yards! ?
It was an incredible feeling to see those hits connect, especially at that distance. This was one of those moments where all the practice, patience, and passion paid off. I'm still riding the high from it, and I can't wait to get back out there and push my limits even further.
Have any of you hit some long-range milestones recently?
