Do you plan on shooting only subsonic rounds?
Is the "honey badger" a piston gun or DI? 6 inches seems awful short for DI, I hadn't heard of anything under 7 1/2 before this. Maybe it is the suppressor that provides enough back pressure to operate as a DI gun......
I look forward to learning from your build, this is pretty new stuff to me.

I plan on shooting both subs and supersonic. The .300 blackout is a very versatile round. And yes, the AAC Honey badger was DI and would cycle reliably with and without the suppressor on both subs and supersonic. That is due to the .300 blackout. It would be really, really hard to do that with a .223.

These videos have lots of good info that explains it all better than I could.

This first video is NWS, guy uses the F word a couple times

And here is a video with the Honey Badger, NWS again.

 I nominate That_Guy for enabler of the month!
I had convinced myself that there wasn't enough difference between 5.56 and 300 blackout to add another cartridge to my arsenal........now I'm pricing uppers for my pistol lower........don't tell the wife!

TG- I have a Rock River 10.5 pistol now but your thread is making me reevaluate what I have and has me looking for a 308 pistol or better yet a 458 socom pistol. I watched a guy I know (prepperkip) on youtube go over his and I was all jelly. He is a great guy to deal with by the way. That combined with your build list is making me itchy to get at it. I will have to look into whether the can in Michigan will cause problems with its pistol status. That would kill it for me, but if it can be done I may just buy a 10.5 upper in 458socom and a can this summer.

www.tromix.com/socom-parts.htm found one here. You know you caused this, at least the majority of the blame will fall on you as I explain it to anyone in the future.

Hahaha I do what I can to inspire people. I bet a pistol or SBR .308 would be ridiculous. I was actually thinking about getting a spare upper with a 10" barrel in .223 so I can hunt with it. Also, I think I found out what rounds I want to keep in it for home defense!!

Pretty impressive round. The .308 is devastating!

I'm impressed with the price as well,$30 a box for .308 is pretty reasonable compared to other high tech SD ammo.

Sent Unique ARs an email to get a quote on a custom AAC Honey Badger handguard. Some handguards come close, but not close enough. I'm also gonna try to mock up a reproduction of the stock on it. They make airsoft clones, so I might pick one up to take some molds from.

I got a price on the RRA 10.5 upper complete in 458 SOCOM. 729.00. Can will be a thousand, still haven't checked as to whether it is still a legal pistol with a can on it. I will update later.

Well I went and checked, I am GTG suppressor doesn't change a thing. So this is going to the top of the list for spring/summer time acquisition. So lets talk AR pistol suppressors, whats the best flavor, gemtech, surefire ACC. Guess it ought to be a threaded deal so as to not change the barrel length to meet OAL restriction. Will have to do some research.
