No drilling needed.
As you look at the receiver from the side, the bolt catch is wider than the slot in the receiver. Material will need to be removed from each side of the bolt catch. This is the Gen 2 part, there is only one part number. It is also clearly not the same quality part as the Gen 1.

I'll get out the stones

Nope,.........will not be able to file it. Material will need to be taken off all the way up. Will get some pics and measurements up tomorrow.

If you have access to a good stone, you will be fine removing a small amount from the bolt stop to get it to fit with out any problems to the bolt stop.

I've had to do this before. So I know it works... ;)

Sir,.......I do owe you a beer!

Got it stoned to fit, cold blued and installed.

I do thanks you Mrraley! :twothumbs:

** I still have two on order with Armalite, will see what happens when those arrive. May just have been a poorly made bolt stop.

So,.......I received the back ordered bolt stops from Armalite last week.
Decided to check and see if one would fit.

Pulled the "stoned one" out, the new bolt catch fits like a glove. Not an OJ glove, but a MJ glove,........ :twothumbs:

Seems I got a poorly made part the 1st time. I'll use this stoned one for a back up to a backup.
