Spotty finish on Armalite AR10 upper and lower was created by Falcon195

I have noticed that pretty much all the new Armalite AR10 uppers and lowers I have seen have a spotty looking finish.
Is this normal and how would you fix this?
Thanks

That is just oil that has collected there, just lightly oil the rest of it and wipe it with a rag and it will all be even.

Wipe down both the upper and lower with WD-40 or just light gun oil. You will be amazed at the results.

the reason it looks spotted is, when it's put into the case, it is oiled (lightly) and put into the case with dry foam.

The foam absoarbs the oil making it dry out and look spotted.

What I do is, after cleaning and before putting it back in the case, take a shaveing brush with oil and put a light coat on the rifle. You'll see the spots go away, but reapear when you take it out of the case. Just reapply.
