Are there any ASA .308 Owners out there?

Yes the Hogue grip is solid, however, it is a little small. I like the bigger grips that put your finger in a better first pad on trigger position. I am considering the Magpul MIAD because of the variety of backstrap widths. If anyone has any experience with the MIAD grip I would appreciate any feedback on it.

This is mine. It is 7mm-08 Rem. It is set up for high power competition. The only time I actually had it on the 600 yard line, it had a Leupold 24X scope on it and I finished the last string with a bunch of 10's and X's on the 600 yard F class target.

Is the gas system tuned to the long barrel or is it shut down to make it a single shot?

It is a self-loader. Started with .075" hole which wasn't enough. Now about .087" as I recall.

Been having doubling problems and didn't really like the original trigger so I bought and installed a Geissele Hi Speed National Match trigger. Installation was easy but not quite as drop in as I expected but eventually it worked out without requiring any mods to either trigger or lower. Shoot tomorrow to see if it works right.

So shot it today and it didn't double. Trigger is much nicer. Still need to add a handstop rail on the bottom of the handguard.
