If you already have the BCG there are lots of companies that use coatings, from hard chrome to various other acronyms. I have only read about this stuff so with no first hand experience I couldn't recommend it myself but it is an option that's out there. I've heard some say there are "coatings" that don't require lube, doubt I'd test that theory on my ArmaLite though.

Thanks guys.
I think I will be checking out JP Enterprises.
It would not hurt to have a spare assembly for
emergencies.
Appreciate the help.

THe reason these companies say it soesn't require lube is because the statement itself is snake oil, LOL.

Reputable companies (like RoBar) will say their coatings require "very little lube" unlike some I could name <cough cough>FailZero<cough cough>

I can't imagine anyone seriously claiming that their parts would not require any lube at all. That's just nuts when you really think about it.

No, I'm going to have to disagree with that statement, when parts are coated it can be done with a dry lube material, therefore requiring no lube. Now, mating parts would also have to be coated. And yes almost any coating will wear, but the advantage in some circumstances out way general hardening of steel. Do some research on coatings and you will find the answer! And I'm not saying chrome is one of them, there are better options. :soapbox:

Some of the coatings out these days are really amazing. My problem is settling on the one that is right for me.
