A couple questions on fore arm and barrel diameter

A couple questions on fore arm and barrel diameter was created by arkypete

I've got an AR10t, it has that heavy, relatively, aluminium forarm. Does any one make a carbon fiber forarm for the AR10t that would be stong enought to handle a bipod?
The barrel that came on the AR10t could serve a rail axel. Is there an equally accurate but lighter weight barrel available.

Without question, PRI (Precision Reflex Inc.) is the grandaddy of carbon fiber float tubes and they're the SOLE contractor for the military's SPR MK12 MOD 0 rifle uppers. They make AR-10 tubes in carbine (aka mid-length) and rifle lengths. They install with a standard AR15 barrel nut wrench and are rock solid.

I am a dealer for their full line so let me know if you need help locating them.

After thinking on this some more. For what a PRI would cost you, you could go with a LaRue Tactical FreeFloat or even ArmaLites,,,,,just an added thought.

bottom of the page....

they also have longer ones

these might be more to your liking...

Check these out:

11. Rev. 3 Free Float Tube for AR-10 - Sniper Rifle Model

Peronally, I don't care for the full length rails. These give you a hand grip with rails at the end for bi-pod, side sling swivel and a same height top rail for BUIS, and they're very light. They also have a new 15" version but it requires a barrel nut change:

8. E1 Free Float Tube for AR-10 - 15" Model

I think these are more elegant solutions than the carbon fiber ones for about the same money, but that's just my opinion.:)

p.s. I can't get the G#$ %@m link to work.
