AR-10(T) Information

AR-10(T) Information was created by hoop76

Hi All,

Looking for some documentation for the assembly of the handguard of the early (like 1997 - 2001) AR-10(T) fiberglass handguards. Maybe an original manual pre 2001 or so. Best would be an assembly drawing or something to see how it all fits together with the barrel nut. Catalog with a drawing would probably work too.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Go to Armalite's web site, click on the Library tab at top, select tech notes. Tech note 77 covers installation of a free float tube. It's the aluminum one, but the process is the same. I take it that you bought one of their sale priced fiberglass ones too. I put one on my carbine last November. It's a little heavy but I like it. Installation was not difficult after I drilled the pin out of my ban era muzzle brake. Good luck.

OK, see tech note 9 for the fiberglass handguard.

Is he looking for prints to make the barrel nut and outer ring for this or did I get lost on this one. I took it as how it worked for assembly and disassembly. I can give the machinest drawing that I made up, but I've never had the official hanguard prints. Got every thing else.MSH

Thanks to BMS!

MSH,

I am looking any drawings, so machinist drawings would be perfect. Assy and dassy would be great too, but they are hard to find.

Thanks!

Send me your email over on the message side and I'LL hunt for my drawings. Might take a day or so. I did alot of converting those handguards to the AR-15s and have got such a clutter of mess that I threw out some of them.MSH
