Muzzle Brakes

Muzzle Brakes was created by Smooth Walker

I'm looking for a good muzzle brake for my rifle. More concerned about reducing recoil and muzzle rise than flash hiding, but preferrably one that does both (recoil and flash) well. Thanks for the help!

I presume you have an Armalite AR-10(T) in .308.
That being said you will need one that is threaded 5/8" - 24 TPI.
They are available and the variety is preety good.
You can get one that looks like something from an Abrams tank barrel muzzle to something plain that looks like a suppressor but, has gas vents which redirect everything downrange.
I'm about to remove one I received from Armalite on a 20" barrel assy and replace it with a flash hider from an M-60.
This is the one I'm removing

Check out JP Enterprises line of muzzle brakes. Probably the most effective out there.

TROY makes good stuff. I too am interested in acquiring a different then stock Armalite 10 break...
-who makes the one w the 'glass break' points on them?

*the New England TROY rep owns a local gun store.
-Left him my 10 to drop in a battle rail, and add a brake, $$$ not an option.
-Horrible communication, no sense of urgency, and just a poor attitude convinced me to pull it back and go a different route after 2 weeks. Seems that he is more interested in selling bulk to shops then taking care of his own customers. And I have made substantial purchases in his shop before.
-Based on this, I find myself hard pressed to give them business, even when I like their products.
-My chief concern would be future customer service issues should there be a problem w a purchase.
-YMMV
