I just finished the army school that I do and have a years worth of data for you all. All the gas piston systems are causing fractures and cracks in the barrel nut area of the AR and M4 systems. A bunch let go in as little as 20000 rounds. We are using 20000 rounds a month training. Breakages are destroying the upper receivers. The fix has not been made yet. I have sent prints for the upper receiver fix, aprox .250 taller for the repair. If not adopted we all will have to go to steal on the uppers for any service life with a piston. The 308 platforms will not withstand the piston systems as is.MSH

Thanks for letting us know. I've been staying "off the bandwagon" because I figured it was too early to jump on with an unproven system. I'm glad I've waited!

Question? (not to sound obstinate) but what about LWRC's Repr or Sabr? Which is a .308. I thought they where the top in that field of application.
