LR 308 AP4 scope mounting question

LR 308 AP4 scope mounting question was created by clayw149

I am just wondering which rings to get. It looks like the front fixed sight might get in the line of sight through a scope. I will be putting on my swarovski nova 3-9x36. Probably not your first choice but that is what I have. Also, is it possible to still use the "iron" sights with a scope mounted? Thanks for your help

i have a question for you. i'm interested in getting a lr 308...when i go to dpms website and "build a rifle", they list several upgrades. did you add any of the upgrades...i'm new to sport and so far it seems as though a trigger upgrade is highly recommended. what about the other upgrades? thanks.

I did not do any upgrades. my budget would not allow any "frills". I really don't mind the trigger, but am no means an expert. For what I do with it, it is fine.
