I use Weapon Shield grease on the cam pin and the carrier rails during the warm months and switch to Slip 2000 EWL 30 for these parts when the below freezing temps arrive.
Any good quality weapons grease should work fine just use them in the appropriate temperature range.
If you really want to dial in on a specific grease for a specific application check out Brian Enos's Slide Glide; www.brianenos.com/pages/slide-glide.html
I'm getting some great groups from 69 gr. SMK 223 Fiocchi match in my Armalite M15TBN. The 308 Fiocchi match is just a bit slower than the FGMM so I'm thinking that might be an issue, then again shooter error is most likely the BIGGEST issue I have with accuracy.
Some days I'm dead on and some days I can't hold still
I shoot a bunch of MK 262. Bought a 1,000 rounds of the CBC clone version and have been real happy, half the price of Black Hills and my rifles don't seem to know which is which when it comes to group size. Even my 11 inch 1:7 Sig pistol shoots it well.
I took the Fiocchi 69 gr match on an exchange for some bad 175 gr match from Freedom Munitions, didn't want anything made under their QC system.
I bought 1000 rounds of the stuff from Black Hills many years ago and was very happy with it. I seem to think that moly coated rounds require a lot less cleaning.
JjMy experience is that after shooting moly coated bullets there is an "accuracy hangover " if you don't clean the rifle. I shot some old 1974 Indian Surplus M80 right after some moly coated 168's and was totally blown away by the groups from an otherwise less than stellar old round. I had shot it before and never seen groups like that. So the moly hangs around for a bit I think.
