Machining the barrel and pining the BE was created by 6-Sigma

Any Gun Smiths with knowledge of barreling the AR-10 thread pitch etc. This will be my first AR-10 barrel job and would love to connect with an experienced "AR-10" smith.

I believe that the DPMS barrel has a 1 X 16 pitch on the barrel tenon. (my barrel extension has that pitch) The Armalite may be different. I don't have an Armalite barrel so I can't say for sure.

Pinning is simple. I am presently making a new barrel for my DPMS AR .308. Building from an unturned blank. I've been a Gunsmith for about 29 years now and feel free to ask.

Are you sending out the blank to be rifled or you doing it in house?

I buy drilled and rifled blanks, un-turned (not profiled) and turn them to the OD or taper needed.

Easier that way. I only use top quality blanks.
