lol i doubt it 1000 lum, i have a flashlight with a Cree XM-L T6 LED in it @ 3 Amps and it can go 800 yards and i can barley make out a grain tower 940 yards away on a clear night.

I have a small flash light with this same LED that will blind you if you look at it. LOL

These all use Lithium ION rechargeable battery's.

I have one with 5 leds one with 3 leds, one high power thrower (above), 1 with one leds and one with 1 led with an adjustable throw.

These are the brightest light i have seen anywhere, and i have one many bets with the small one.

dx.com/p/ultrafire-sh98-cree-xm-l-t6-800...ack-1-x-18650-162491

on low these Li-on lights will last a very long time 10-20 hours. and low is plenty of light to light a whole room.

my others

battery

(there are cheaper ones but I have not had any troubles with these)

dx.com/p/fandyfire-stl-v2-cree-xm-lt6-5-...lack-2-x-18650-91136

please note the dx site above the manufactures Lum claims are HIGH most of them at 2-3x what they really do, read the reviews and forum posts, that people make.

you can now also find some of these on amazon

Here is a link to many of these lights on Amazon through the AR10t.com portal. Don't forget guys, the site gets a percentage if you use the portals and Martin is talking about starting up some contests and having some giveaways someday and every single penny helps get us up to that point.... :)

Also, if you want to set up your Amazon account so you ALWAYS go through the AR10t.com portal, here is the link for that...

just wanted you to know that most of these are way over rated...... but just about anyhting with the Cree XM-L T6 (xm-l is the modle and T6 is the bin, there is a U2 bin also but $$$$$$$$$$$$) will be EXTREMELY BRIGHT BUT it depends on the control board, the LED can handle 3 amps, but some boards any let it have 1 or less.

here is the MFG data
www.cree.com/led-components-and-modules/...irectional/xlamp-xml

so a U2 @ 3amp should be about 1040 Lums, but also so drive only have 80% effective. so you really have to watch. The people on the DX site above look into and tes all this, use that site for info and amazon to order them :)

I like Cree because they make the XM-L LEDS in the USA !!! (including their new LED light for your home!)

here you go
www.cree.com/~/media/Files/Cree/LED%20Co...Binning/XLampXML.pdf

so on page 2, the T6 @1.5 amps is 551 lum and 2 amp is 692

so of these light with 3+ LED are wire series and some parallel this affect the current to the LED

Let me help you out: In spite of buying 6 of them, telling us how much they cost, telling us a buddy also got some off ebay, you did not give us a link, brand name, nothing. You do not have to be a computer whiz in order to tell where you bought them or the brand name and my bet is on the package, light or invoice there is a company name and website.

Stuff like this is a good thing and we appreciate your providing us with info, but we need more info that you clearly have and that we too can get in on the deal...
