Congrats '45 and welcome to the forum. One optic to check out is the Nikon M-308 with Bullet Drop Compensator. Scope gets high marks from everyone, the included scope mount not so much. I use a 4x 16 Nikon Monarch on my AR10 rifle and a Burris Fairfield 3 x 9 on my AR10T carbine. Both work well. On the rifle in retrospect wish I had gotten the M-308, however.

:welcome: If you still have a .308 with a scope you like it would probably work with the AR10, or at least be a starting point.
