Ejector Smear ?

Ejector Smear ? was created by Cuda55

I have a current build of a AR 10/DPMS .308 Win. I created this with a left hand side charger from Gibbs Arms and mated it up to a SunDevil lower. I have been getting what appears to be ejector smear and it happens on new and reloads. I am using an Anderson Arms Bolt Carrier (AM-10 Bolt Carrier Group, Nitrided – .308) and I have an extra bolt made by JP Enterprises which is their Enhanced Bolt Chromium Nitride. While examining both bolts to try and figure out what was going on I discovered that both of the bolts had the same issue I believe, which is a sharp edge on the ejector pin hole. I took it upon myself to polish the edge with some Simichrome and rouge, just enough to remove the sharp edge which was digging into the brass and scrapping up a little pile when the bolt rotated. I've not had a chance to fire the modified bolt yet to see if it eliminated this problem. However I am looking for comments to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Perfectly normal. With an adjustable gas block or a heavier buffer you can lessen it some but the further you take it the more chances of having issues with function.
