Relaoding Bench was created by super8mm

What sort of reloading benches do you have?

I was thinking of one of those old metal desk that weigh about 200 lbs

or maybe one of those hard wood tops like this

I bolted mine to an old kitchen table "temporarily". Never have got that dream bench built but the loads don't seem to notice.

I just built one from 2X4's and MDF in an empty corner of the basement.

Damn fine man cave ya got there.

Did you need to put any backing or reinforcement under the MDF for the press bolt holes?

Here are some instructions I had found and scanned and would like to build some day.

“Fix the problem, DON’T affix the blame”

"Prosecute the position, NOT the person"

THANKS 13fcolt!

There are actually a couple of 2X6 members (that you can't see) bolted in place just below the MDF that I put there as a stiffeners. That way I can mount anything I might need to along the front of the bench without worry of it being unsteady or working itself loose with use. The mounting bolts on the press are long enough to go all the way through and tighten with nuts and lock washers.

I tend to lean toward overkill.

Thanks mrraley, I saved that, my bench will have to go beside my wood working stuff so I wont have far to move it :)

OK, I'll toss mine in....

I built the frame using 4X4 legs and 2X4's. I had a section of preformed counter-top that worked out really well for me.
