Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5x20mm (30mm) M2 with SPR reticle was created by magi

Unless you guys can convince me this is not the way to go... I believe I'm ordering this... Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5x20mm (30mm) M2 SPR tomorrow..... I want a good close to mid range optics with some lamination for my carbine...... It's a little more than I wanted to spend... Was looking at the VTX Patrol.... But wanted more in the rectical......
Have been hunting and reading for hours every day for over a week..... And I'm burnt up on it.....
I think it going to be a prety nice doodad........ Ordering a set of Hogue grips with no finger groves... I never liked fingers.and will probably change out my SASS grips tot boot......

 give us a performance report when you can.
I am guessing you meant recticle and IPAD autocorrect got in the way with recital.

I've been shopping around for a scope to fit the same applications you are I believe. I don't mean to muck up your decision but here are some other scopes I found.

Trijicon
www.laruetactical.com/trijicon-accupoint...e-tactical-lt-104-30

^ comes with a larue QD mount.

Burris
www.laruetactical.com/burris

^ also from larue with a QD mount

Vortex
www.amazon.com/Vortex-Viper-1-4x24-Rifle...3JP4RZW/&tag=ar10-20
^ cheap enough to buy a larue mount with it and still stay around the price of the mark4

These are all around the price of the Mark4 and come with LaRue mounts, except the vortex which is the cheapest of the bunch and would allow you to have the funds to buy one.

Not sure if you've made your purchase yet, but these are worth looking at.

I've been thinking about your advice on getting a good lower priced scope...... It may have been a wiser thing to do.... I had know idea how much these scopes had I'mproved in the last ten years...
I am probably getting more and spending more than I need for a mid range shooter.... Ita basically a shorter version of the 3.5x10 that's on my sass...... I want illumination and the rectical on the 3.5x10 is really nice.. Love it.... So I just threw money at the gun and did..... Besides its was my 64th birthday.... Which is a real boring number... and I rationalize well......
There are two things I may not like... That's the size and weight..... and maybe a one inch would be better.... Everything is a compromise I suppose... You just try to make the best one....

It is a compromise on that you are right. And lots of decent Chinese stuff at prices that are throw away. $100 bucks buys good Chinese and say it only lasts a year vs a super duper $1200 buck scope. You drop you gun out of a tree and it lands scope down on a rock and maybe it only happens once every 10 years.

But the $100 Chc-com you can buy a new one every year for 12 years.

I have a good scope, Triijcon ACOG 3.5x35. And you know what you are buying when you buy a Tri?

1) high quality scope

2) and this is where the real cost is: You can use the ACOG for a HAMMER if you have to and still have a high quality scope. Its made to be a COMBAT ISSUE Item and meant to take the beating of combat and of use in training for combat. In that reguard its most likely the finest scope money can buy. Mil-Spec :twothumbs:
