for the RRA advanced half quad free float handguard, do i just remove the factory barrel nut and screw on the handguard like a tube hanguard? or does this one have a seperate barrel nut and holds by set screws? looks like threads in the center of hanguard. please inform me? thanks

From what I can see...there are two set screws on the bottom of the hand-guard.
Most that I have seen come as "two" separate pieces. You install the Nut and then the hand guard ...other wise who knows where it will line up...but to be sure...
Send Edge a Note...he is more familiar with RRA than most of us...
Or Call the Factory and ask them...either way..please post up the answer..
My money is on it is two separate pieces...

After installing i found out that the handguard barrel nut had threads on the outside and u just torque the nut then align the next available hole for gas tube. the two set screws on the bottom hold the handguard from spinning or rotate off the barrel nut.
My next question is does the gas block butt up the to the shoulder of the barrel? or maybe account for clearance of the old handguard cap? also when looking in the upper without the bolt carrier assembly the gas tube sticks out into the reciver pretty far. im worried the gas key will run into the tube, how can i ensure there is proper clearence?
