Need bipod recommendation was created by clubmanager

Ive an AR10 Armalite with green hanguards, no place to mount a bipod. Any options other than trying to find a quad rail or barrel mounted version?
Thanks!

You use to be able to find one that clamp to the barrel below the gas port. Or you could get your self a set of cross sticks and carry with you. I take it you don't want to go with a rial.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid the cost of a rail but I will likely have to get one. Recommendations?

Was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago.
Just got mine in yesterday as a matter of fact.

Atlas bipod

Mini picatinny rail that attaches to the bottom of the freefloat so that the bipod may be mounted.

And if you'd like a different bipod, i believe the Mini P Rail should still be relevant.

Mako group distributes a bayonet lug adapter for Harris Bipods made by Fab Defense (in Israel).

Mako Bayonet Lug Mounted Bipod Adapter

Several people make bipods that mount to the bayonet lug without an adapter. Search Google for bayonet and bipod. It makes sense to me, but I've never seen one.

I didn't use the setup long but I bought a cheap $7 chunk of rail on eBay, it came with hardware that mounted it through the heat shield holes. I had an extra set of old hand guards so I didn't care if they broke or cracked. I snugged the screws tight with loctite and it is still solid after about 250 rounds, I used it with my FAB bi-pod/front-grip combo for 200 rounds without issue and still would be if I hadn't made a used four rail setup work on it for cheap. The cheap bi-pod, NC star, that I started with literally fell to pieces after about 50 rounds. I bought my FAB bi-pod used but saw that Armalite sold them so that gave me some confidence. It is on the shorter end of the range in heights so it might not be the best choice for hunting.

Well this might help abit...
and you can go with the ADM QD bipod mount...or get GG&G Bipod Adapter...
