Delta style cheek piece. was created by Siscowet

I have a fixed handle AR that I have set up with a scope. And sure enough I notice the issue of getting a good cheek weld. Especially if I don't lay off of coffee before hitting the range. I am thinking of getting a Colt Delta style cheek piece for it. Does anybody have any experience with them? Also I shoot southpaw, and I am not sure they are designed to be either right or left. Any info would help.

I have not had one in ages. They are ambidextrous, but I want to say it might be a simdge too high. I'm not sure if anything has changed since then, but the one I used was from before flat top receivers and lifted the cheek weld up for a carry handle mounted scope. This may be a non issue anyway.

If you are inclined, you could make your own out of Kydex and have it fit exactly where you need it. 12"x12" sheet runs $10-$15 depending on thickness, color, finish.
I'll see if I can find examples where I have seen it done.

I saw that Mako makes a good looking stock with cheek piece for AR15/M4/M16s but I have no idea if that would fit onto an AR10 or if it's too small since I'm not sure of the specs.

Anyone have any idea if it would fit or not or of anyone that makes one for us?

I did send a message to Mako today but it might be a few days before I hear back.

I saw those but will they go onto your AR10 stocks - either the regular or the slider?

I don't know if there is any difference in size between the AR15 A2 stock and the AR10A2 stock might want to call Armalite to ask. Merry Christmas!

Kydex is a plastic that is used in holster and sheath making. It is wonderful stuff for the DIY types because it is so easy to work with, kind of the duct tape or 550 cord of the plastic world. Got a few pieces holding together my bronco. A dremel and a heat gun and a person can make all kinds of stuff with it. In this application, saddle style adjustable cheek rests are a common DIY thing on bolt guns where drilling a couple of holes is not going to interfere with anything. I know I have seen it done on an A2 stock, somewhere before. I don't recall it being adjustable though.

This place sells two different sizes but I didn't see anything adjustable. They look good but I've never tried them and at the price I'd want to try it first!
