Anti Rotational Pins... was created by BUILDING MY SASS

Has anyone installed these on their AR-10s...
I recently bought a set for the E-1 Rifle due to the fact the pins were a bit loose...and am thinking of installing a set on the AR-10 and my M-15...
The ones I bought were from KNS Precision and were very easy to install...

Well I have looked in to that and certainly 2 schools of thought, yes and no.

While I am not sure you absolutely need them on the other hand do they hurt in any way other than your wallet? Don't think so, but make sure you use locktite or you have wasted your time IMO.

Me not sure I need them, but if I caught some on sale at the local gunnery shop I would prob pickup a set...GO for it and tells us if anything is +/-, for that kind of money it could be a great deal

I've been warmin up to the idea of these things lately. I used to write them off as a gimmick considering the time it takes to wear out the pin holes.

These are "anti-walk" pins from the ArmaLite site;

Is this the same thing?

These are from Amazon;
www.amazon.com/KNS-Non-Rotating-Trigger-...5+anti-rotation+pins

These seem to have good reviews. Looks like there are a few size choices.

The ArmLites do not appear to be anti-roll, not sure that is a disadvantage...historically that is an advantage as it spreads the wear pattern around 360 degrees rather than in one localized point of contact. I like the AR ones.

That said if someone can make a case for a non roller please do...

How about asking Armalite if they have a position?

I would have to agree, the ArmaLite ones seem to be just Retained...
The KNS pins are Stainless Steel...I think if one was to use maybe something like Mil-comm's TW25B grease on them or maybe a Graphite there would be almost no wear on the trigger and hammer...
The key point to them is that over time the holes in the receiver wear..given the rotation, then the pins become loose over time...
So with the Antis you don't have that...but then there is always a Reaction for every action...the Trigger and hammer most likely will wear...but being retained as such...no chance of the pins coming out...
So I guess it is a Trade Off...Tit For Tat...
