Favorite Rifle Scope?

Well made in America or not, I am looking at a Burris XTS-135 Red Dot sight. Does anyone have any experience with Burris or comments as to their quality.
My Bushnell is getting unreliable and I can't afford an Aimpoint comp 2 or 3, like I would like to put on it.

So any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Well I got the go-ahead from the boss....LOL, to order it. So upon arrival, I will post some pics and hopefully get out to try it. Will post my findings when I have all the data...

How much windage and elevation does your sight have in it. Looks like it could work for high power.MSH

42moa. It'll go to 1100 yards in the 7.5 Swiss with 175gr GP11, 175gr SMK or the 175gr Berger VLD.

Z, I meant no offense, I was talking about the Burris I just ordered. I have been looking for a new Red Dot for my A4C. I will of course give a report when installed and tested...maybe not all at the same time....it's "cold" out side...LOL

Well I decided to buy a Nightforce, partly based on input from some of you. I love the scope. It is a 3.5-15X56 with the np-r2 reticle. The illuminated reticle is awesome. But... The bottom of the main tube says....Made in Japan! Crap. Well at least it is not made in China! Lastly I bought a cheap pair of scope rings. Got what I paid for! Installed and immediately removed. I am a Machinist, I refuse to pay $150-$200 for a couple pieces of aluminum. So after looking around Burris Extreme Tactical Rings, High, work great and are well made at $60 bucks for the pair. Finished at last. Bob.

I just bought 2 Bushnell Legend 5-15 X 40's w/mildot reticles. So far very pleased. I can't even think about spending what it takes to get a nightforce or Leupold M4. I am NOT shooting matches nor do I have any place to shoot over 2-300 yds. It works very well for me.

I understand your position. It was way to much money, but I will not do anything half way. Buy the best you can afford, and buy it once. I will be paying for awhile.

RandR....I refuse to pay $150-$200 for a couple pieces of aluminum.....how about one piece, I have the LaRue LT-135 and I know of several others that have bought them, if you want a good QD mount you should check them out...but I knwo what you are saying, it WAS worth it though...

Mtrmn.....I also know that feeling, but when you have an AR-10, well it needs the best you can put on it...I have the Leupold Mark 2 ($650) on mine, wanted a Mark 4 but couldn't swing it. I now have become interested in the Shepard Scopes, am going to see if I can demo one to see if I like it...
On the Bushnell, they make good hunting scopes from what I hear, I was looking at the Tactical Elite series before I got my Mark 2. As it stand right now, I have issues with Bushnell, my Red dot sight is "somewhat" off and I can't get through to their customer service department...so much for outstanding service....anyway I wish you the best of luck with them...
