Getting a roll bar with a 360* remote operated pintle mount with a laser designator sight. Then I have to find an auto stabilizer.

Back to thread. As far as a sling I think I would step back and go with a 2 point sling. Colt likes Vickers, I know, or maybe the one from LaRue. Not entirely satisfied with my 3 point. Too much busy work. As far as sights, that Burris laser rangefinder scope is just too big and heavy. When it comes down to half that size, I would be interested. Also like the idea of the Mag Pul adjustable stock, especially if you have two separate sighting systems on the rifle, so if need be you can adjust your stock to optimize your BUIS or back up reflex sight, if the occasion arises.

My take on the General Purpose Battle Rifle.

I'm tinkering with also getting the above to pull off the DMR position as well by using an Elcan SpecterDR 1x-4x Optic, a Magpul UBR stock and a 13" rail system.

I'm also really liking 25 round mags as they are not much longer than 30 round 5.56 mags.

I'll vouch for the UBR balancing out the ar10 while keeping it compact. Always just stuck with 20 rounders for prone clearance though.
