The build has started! Ordered my CAA UG16 grip and bipod this weekend. I had to order the grip while they are still around (they went out of production) and decided to go ahead and order the bipod at the same time. However when I ordered the grip I ordered one for an AK and not an AR when I tried to cancel it, it said it might be too late to cancel. Good news is, the bipod and correct grip should be here by Friday! My local Gander Mt is supposed to be giving me a call as soon as they get more 700s in. As soon as my bipod and grip get in I will post some photos and a quick overview of quality. Wish me luck!
Got the grip(s) in today! Just holding it in my hand feels amazing. I love that it has different sized inserts for both the fingers and back. Currently I have the small back and large finger inserts in. I might switch to the medium finger insert when I actually get it on the chassis. Not a bad grip for $40! The bipod should be in tomorrow. Hopefully I can pick up the rifle soon... waiting sucks haha.
Yes it does, the waiting part.
I did`nt know that there was/is a pistol grip with innerchangeable components. I installed a Hogue grip an Mine and I really like the way it fits and feels.
I had to wait a day to get the compensator threads installed on My barrel, it just really sucked, I wanted it and I wanted it now. The muzzle device from Armalite made a very nice difference it eh way My rifle reacts when fired. I am really liking it.
Waiting for new pics.
Things is moving fast now.
What`ll You say when Jesus asks, Why did`nt You read My book ???
Haha! My bipod should be here within the next 4 hours... time is going by so freakin' slow! When it does get here I'm going to try it out on my 30-30 so I can compare it to my Harris. Right now I'm trying to sell some stuff so I can get more parts. Hopefully I can get the chassis soon. Will have pictures and review of the bipod up when it gets here. Take care.
The bipod comes with 2 adapters that go on your existing sling mount.
All you do is install this on the mount and then screw the adapter in with the supplied screws.
Then you just rotate the quick release and install it on the picatinny rail.
If you twist the rubber feet they reveal spikes for extra grip.
Here it is next to my old Harris.
The bipod can also pan to the left and right and since it is on a central spring it can cant up, down, left, and right. The only thing I don't like about it, is how far it sticks out while using the adapter. It wouldn't be so bad if I had a rail. Overall I like it a lot more than my Harris. And for the price (around $70 with tax & S/H) it's a pretty damn good deal!
No problem! Love this bipod already and haven't even shot with it yet! Now is when time will start moving really, really, REALLY slow. I might have a heart attack waiting to get the damn rifle, hopefully I can find one soon
