Congrats on the NM...I have heard good things about them...
As for the Mag....I have 5 20s soon to be 6 and 4 tens....I have never had any issues with the Gen 2s (even the ones I dropped on the concrete..
) They are as tough as they come for Mags...

I looked at the Armalites at the NRA convention and they do appear to be a very nice rifle 
I am sure that you will be pleased with it. I bought a Geissele match trigger for my DPMS, looked at some different stocks, and got to look at a bunch of different scope options as well. I was very impressed by the Vortex Raptor HD and the Barrett BORS... I am not sure I really want to spend $2500 on a scope though.
