Did MSH install an extended length gas system for your 26 inch barrel or does the adjustable system eliminate the advantages of the longer system?

As I recall it has a standard length gas tube, with the adjustable gas block. Bob

Nitetrain I used the std gas system on yours because you are just plinking with it and not going to any competition. It keeps it simple and very easy to get lots of shooting in. The first thing pounded in our head at engineering school was to KISS it. Keep it simple stupid. I aint never forgot that. We make these barrel setups for each useage, just a tool for what your doing.MSH

The 243 and 260 are even with the bolt guns with an extention. The 308 doesn't get as big of a gain. The 6-250 and XCs are on par with the bolt guns. A 223 with a 30" barrel and a plus 2" gas system is a tiger with 80gr bullets hitting 3000fps in 85 deg weather. A 260 with a 4" extention will push a 142gr bullet 2850fps, and with out the extention 2600fps.MSH
