Sharkey: Thank you! I actually really like the look of your rifle as well. The grip is from Sierra Precision Rifles. It's available at Brownells and at MidwayUSA. It's got a thumb rest on the left side and comes out pretty far on the right where the trigger finger goes. The idea is to allow you to just rest your trigger finger on it and only the tip of the finger will rest on the trigger. It's really comfortable.
Sisco: With that port buffer installed, it doesn't dent the brass. It still flings them a good thirty feet forward and to the right, but at least they're not dented. The only thing to be aware of with it is that on some rifles, the buffer moves. I haven't yet found a satisfactory method of anchoring that sucker in place.
The second one from the bottom is a Saiga 308. It's essentially an AK. The receiver is actually the same length as the one for the 7.62x39mm. There are a few internal differences though.
The barrel on this one is a little over 20". For some odd reason, the Russians used a "non-standard" twist that's like 1 in 12.6" or something. I really like the Kreb's top scope rail. Though it is a little expensive, but you really are paying for quality.
