Colt I agree it should not have been on his agenda at all. Jt and Sis good points made, I agree.

I have seen racism all my life, white on black, black on white you name it. In order to solve the problem of racism we have to accept it as fact, part of the human race, its not going away. Dogs don't run with cats and vice versa.

Its the NATURAL way! One might note we have whites, asians, blacks and latins...my o my anyone wondering why after 250,000 years we are not all the same color?

Being prejudice is one thing, I am and so are you, being a bigot is another. What the govt is trying to do is disallow my thinking, telling me I cannot be prejudiced. This is beyond stupid thinking...in spite of that the federal govt has passed laws against THINKING. You might note the witch hunt for the past 16 mos to find that Zimmer is said somewhere in his LIFE the 'N" word. You should be scared that if ANYONE can come forward and say I heard him utter that then he can and WILL be prosecuted. You should FEAR that we have a govt that can prosecute you for the way you think. Today its the N word, tomorrow it will be because you voted for a party...in fact that is going on now with the IRS.

If you don't think I am prejudiced or in this case I am a BIGOT!!!!!!!!!!! and proud of it...then just ask me my thoughts on an AK 47 and I will CHEERFULLY tell you about how much of a bigot I am...I am typing this and my encounters with those who carry the AK 47, well lets just say they are not typing on some forum out there. Of course they too were bigoted.

We don't fight wars because we are all friends and holding pinky's.

The ONE thing and the ONLY thing we should be promulgating is the word, the most powerful in any language...ACCEPTANCE! Instead the govt shoves TOLERANCE down our throat. I will tell you straight up, my tolerance factor is LOW...let me catch you in a lie and you will know just how low it is. Acceptance to me is the answer, I do not have to like you to accept you.

As for Obama, well he and Holder are both liars, I have no use for either of them.

13%: Population of blacks in America

Amazing how those last two numbers you quoted disappear when something like the Trayvon Martin case comes up. Reduce that 50% to 13%, and we would not be having this conversation.

The stats are downright frightening. 15% of all murders are Black on white, 1 out of every 4 blacks is a convicted felon and it goes on and on.

I have a weakness, I tend to and want to see and believe in the best in people. My research has shown me that by and large blacks are a basic conservative group, mostly wanting the same thing you and I want in life. But the govt would not have it that way. They have enslaved the black population of America far worse than the sting of the Masters whip of the 1800's. They have fell prey to a govt who wants but one thing and that is their vote. In trade the govt has given them cradle to grave benefit: Food, medical care, housing, spending money, head of the line in any job they want, waive any requirements and give them a passing grade in school no matter their test scores and if they chose a life of sloth and disease from sitting in front of a TV set for all of it. Life on the plantation would be far better.

I do not blame them, few can deny the siren song of socialism, be them black, white, American or French. The easy life always sounds better.

101.5 MILLION Americans are currently on federal assistance programs

97 Million adults, age 16 and over hold a 40 hr a week job

We have gone past the tipping point and are now in our death spiral and if you listen you can hear the 'rattle' like a distant and approaching thunder...

Your comments here bring to mind something I heard all across the south while working with city and state officials. They would refer to the poor side of town, generally the black side of town, as "the check farm". The business owners are quite content to see these people on a dead end subsistence living, as long as they cash and spend the government checks at their businesses. If you wanted to see people fidget and change subjects fast start asking questions about this.
I see it as stemming from the change in the interpretation of the constitution and governments role in treating everyone equally, they have turned it to MAKING everyone equal. An impossible goal, proved to be so by people like Stalin and Mao. It is scary to think how many millions will perish before we figure this historical fact out.
All we can do now is prepare to care for our family and friends and be ready to step in with ideas that work when the bottom is reached.

You nailed it quite well. The govt has no interest in anything but keeping its people (ALL of us) down. Their desire is to tell us we can all be equal. Well it has worked many times and every time it has all the people have to show for it is near starvation, the lowest standard of living, sickness and a life of failure and servitude to the govt.

Now it is time to figure out how to fix it. The attached link to an article in Time is refreshing. A mayor who identifies the real problem. He happens to be a gentleman of color and isn't shying away from the real issue of violence in this country. You may not agree with either his politics or his solutions, but he has put himself out there to try to do something about this issue, and I respect him for that.

“Justice for Trayvon”

Justice has spoken for Zimmerman and that should have been all the justice needed. But many groups of people and organizations, the Congressional Black Caucus, Hollywood celebrities and President Obama; don't believe justice was served.

Instead, the DOJ is on a witch-hunt to find something, anything to charge Zimmerman with that can tie him to some degree of racism. Where is this going? They have already dug into his past for 16 months and found nothing. What do ‘they’ want for justice? Currently the drumbeat is to find a basis for “civil rights” violation and or committing a “hate crime”. This should make any American regardless of race tremble with fear. Having special interest organizations, Congress and our President using every resource to charge you with a crime for which you have already been found not guilty is right from the pages of history of pre-WWII Germany or Russia.

We are seeing history being made as this unfolds before us. Special interest groups forced the state to charge and try Zimmerman. When the results did not meet their expectations, they used their influence and public demonstrations in hundreds of cities to force the Federal Government to continue anew with its witch-hunt. We are moving from a nation and its people governed by laws to a nation ruled by the whims of who clearly have prejudice towards a single individual. These actions are setting the stage for a future application of law in America that will be not just influenced by special interest groups but also literally controlled by them. A future where the Federal Government influences states with weak Attorney Generals to do as the Federal Government demands as witnessed in Florida.

No matter the outcome the die has been struck. Going forward “We the People” can expect detailed and in-depth scrutiny on real or imagined crime where it’s white on black. We can expect every effort to move it to a Federal courtroom where the influence of the rule of man will be the new standard. This is far from new or unique in history. It was the reason why we came to America, it occurs in every Government based upon tyranny and dictatorship. Rule of man is more the standard across the world today than is rule of law. In America, we have always benefited from a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, however Zimmerman was tried by the media, Congress, the President, and special interest groups as guilty and although proven innocent is still labeled as guilty of murder. Were it not for 6 Americans who sat in judgment who were not influenced by anything but the evidence Zimmerman would be in prison possibly on death row.

America hoped Obama would the united President instead; he has become the great divider. His comment that “Trayvon could have been my son” was unneeded influence on our judicial process. We should be surprised the President even knows Trayvon’s name, he certainly does not know the name of the soldiers who are wounded or killed almost daily, fighting America’s wars. This is an Administration that has a history of flaunting the law, picking and choosing winners and losers and has shown to be more corrupt than President Harding and more incompetent than President Carter. Obama has failed to meet even the low standards he set for himself and his Administration. His dishonesty has permeated all levels of Government until it has become the normal standard of performance.

As the tentacles of ineptness, untruthfulness and tyranny spread downward from the Government the people will only be left with despair, distrust, and fear of a corrupt Government that monitors your every phone call, investigates your taxes and can find you guilty of any crime it choses. If Trayvon is to receive, justice and equality then the rule of law must prevail in America…

BOTH parties have concentrated on divide and conquer since I was old enough to remember. The president is only using the playbook he was given and only because WE let it work! Doesn't make it right on his part but did anyone that actually pays attention to this stuff really think he would do anything different?
I concentrate most of my angst on what I grudgingly call my party, they are no more receptive to changing than the president.
Zimmerman and Martin are nothing but tools being used by the elite, because we allow it.
I always thought it was "and justice for all", it is looking more and more like "and justice for none" :(
